Eye wipes , can i use them on ned?

High guys , does anyone know if it would be safe to use human eye wipes / face wipes on my boy. Quite often i find he's got runny eyes , not green or pus filled , just sort of clear, tear like, moist. Trouble is it goes dry under his eye in the wind and just looks awful , can i use a witch hazel type facial wipe to remove the dryed on salty tear residue?

I wouldn't.
Just use a soft sponge and warm water.

I use baby wipes as I think it is probably more hygenic than a sponge. I wouldn't use witch hazel ones as they might be a bit harsh but sensitive facial wipes would be fine.

Thanks guys , I only said witch hazel as it's an astringent , like cold tea , or optrex and i just imagined it would be ok but baby wipes are on my next shopping list. I could use a sponge but haven't got access to hot water out were the boy is and i'm not sure repeated wiping with cold wet sponge would be very nice / hygenic.

Same as Lotty, I use the value wipes for my TBs eyes and bum! Never had any problems and he loves having his eyes wiped, stops eating his hay and just stands stock still with his eyes closed and a blissful expression on his face, daft lump

Yup I use the sensitive baby wipes every day without any probs
