Does anyone have any experience of eye worms?
Horse on my yard was diagnosed with this last summer and treated with panacur 5 day wormer.
Had vet out to daughters horse today to flush a blocked tearduct but procedure was unsuccessful. Vet thinks horse may have damage to tearduct due to eye worms. Sample taken to check.
As these worms are spread by flies, if the results come back positive, would it be advisable to routinely treat all horses on yard as a precaution?
I would be interested to hear from anyone with experience of these worms.
