This is the rotti girl, on her first walk, u can see the extent of her weight in second picci, esp as she is a small bitch.

Will try to get somemore uploaded......she said THANKYOU, for helping her escape the sh!t pit, that was once her home, and for feeding and vaxing her, until she find a new loving home.

oh she is gorgeous looking though isn't she. I wonder what breeding she has and if her breeder knows she has been treated in such a way
frown.gif

Thanks Cala and I have to say, my female is quite tubby - she was fine til she hit 5 then expanded!. She has been on every diet known to man, including Burns lower calorie but seems to keep the same shape! I did lessen her collar by one knotch the other day though so hopefully there is movement going on
smile.gif

Aww, what a little sweetheart, how could anyone not love that face?! Hope she comes on in leaps and bounds, I've said it before but what a great job you do, who knows where she would have ended up if you hadn't taken her in.

grin.gif
She has a very nice expression
grin.gif
, and the pictures are good examples on that pendant ears is neither immobile or expressionless.

*whispers*But her shape doesn't look much better in the first picture, it's just less and then more evident.*stops whispering*

Breeze mum, I know what you're talking about, my first Buhund Nessie, also started putting on weight, but being a small medium-size breed, it happened a few years later for her. The thing is, if I tell people that she put on 2 to 2,5 kg., they usually respond with "And?" or "So?".
I think they forget that we're not talking about an adult human, where + 2 kg. would hardly qualify as overweight. But for a dog with an ideal weight between 11,5 to 12 kg., + 2 kg. or more = lard over her ribs, and not just a really thin layer! (Not thick either, but still definitely not thin.)

Cala, she looks very debonair out, from Sweden.

PS

I couldn't resist it, since it must be frustrating at times,

To Cala, I hope you get a boxing-ball as Christmas-present
p025.gif
and otherwise Happy and peaceful Christmas!

you know the more I look at that face the more I see what a wonderful, interested, happy little girl she is and how on earth she is this way after spending her entire life living with "insert description here" I have no idea. She's a gem, what have you named her Cala?

Lol, im used to having a lean rotti
grin.gif
grin.gif
this one is obese compared to mine, my rott is 42kg, and my vets are very chuffed when they have to x-ray her, cos she is the weight she is supposed to be, this bitch is 59kg
shocked.gif
, and much smaller than mine.

The breeder....or should I say BSB, is a tosser.....he knew they where incapable of looking afer this dog, and he encouraged them to breed, even though the parents, nor her, had any health testing, and she had cysts around her eyes at a younger age, hence why I recommended they spay....and we paid
crazy.gif

His son, now breeds terriers in an allotoment
frown.gif
near where this bitch was sold.

She was full of expression....she was astounded, when she steped out of the yard, almost like the light was a strain on her eyes, and she did not have a clue what the car was, she was sniffing and hunting around, the whole time she was out
smile.gif

Her name is Kelda....although...I do not like it, mam has been calling her Kell

She is a very happy girl...the neighbours thought I was mad getting her out, they said, when they passed the gate, she looked like she wanted to kill them....I suspect sheer frustration on her behalf, she loves humans, can be a little over the top as rotti's are, but she is harder to push down, with all that weight
crazy.gif

love her!! That's the odd thing about Jazmine, she has remained steady at between 42 and 44 kg but her shape has just changed and she seems (don't tell her I said this, fat)..if I get my hand shaped into a claw and say to her "sheeeee's soooo fat!" and touch her she growls at me lol

BM I have to say that if you said that to me (true though it may be) I may growl at you as well.
She is lovely CALA, Rots have a special place in my heart (RR too). Would love to be able to take her but hubby won't have any of it!! I have told him how many you have and we certainly have the space but is no go I'm afraid. I hope she finds someone to love her on a lifelong basis.

lol yes I can't say as I blame her, it is a good game though and eventually she gets fed up and licks me to death. She has such a good sense of humour and I only wish people could see that when they look at her rather than thinking "urgh devil dog" which she is so far removed from it is amazing - as most of them are.
smile.gif

Bless her she looks so happy to be out.
smile.gif

It's going to be a tough/slow job getting all that weight off her, but she will be better for it. I sometimes think owners who over feed their dogs are almost more cruel than those who under feed.

I know....she looks like a seal
