Been announced by Debby Reynolds live on Sky at midnight. Suspected case now in Dorking, Surrey. It's some distance (think they said about 8kms) outside of the current 10km surveillance zone around Pirbright too.
Duncan and I only said last night that we were concerned as to whether it was too early to relax the movement restrictions allowing livestock to go directly to slaughter. Totally understand that farmers need to sell stock, but it would've been prudent to wait a bit longer really.
Getting really anxious about this. The 1967 strain was known to be extremely adept at airborne transmission.
