FAB TIP - Must read If you have a rice or similar trailer !

I recently bought a rice trailer, not too expensive and thought i'd do it up. Looked into having it re-sprayed and the cheapest option I found was £500 and I had to do all the prep myself. Decided couldn't afford this option so would do it myself. Went to get the hammerite and notice they now sell an electro static paint gun to spray railings so thought would give it a go on the traier......and it's BLOOMING BRILLIANT!!!! It only costs £40 for the unit plus £15 for a can of paint (you need special ones to fit the gun) Takes a while to get used to but the finish is amazing, looks really professional and doesn't take that long. Anyway thought I would share as I am sure i'm not the only person who wants a smart looking trailer without the mahoosive price tag!

Hi Sounds good. Do you reckon it'd work with the spray gun on the inside?? as my rice trailer is ok on the outside but I would quite like to paint the inside white to make it look a bit smarter. Was thinking about whether you can use it in a confined space??? tbh was just gonna paint it with normal gloss but this idea sounds like it might look a bit more pro

I bought 4 and so far have used two and done about half the trailer. You do have to be organised tho as once you start you have to keep going until you have used the whole can (otherwise it all drys up).

I wouldn't use it inside as although it is pretty accurate inside you have wood and plastic too which i'm not sure it would bond with.

Re the wire wool thing to be honest I was lazy and just did the bits where the paint was coming off or there was some rust. You should at least wash the trailer but depends if your bothered about having to re-do it all in a few years time. If you do the prep it will last longer and look better but it will take you quite a while.

Link shows you what it does, just think it's fab and for once something cheap that actually works!
