A quick report on my brilliant weekend with Josh...

Went to Hartpury to SJ on Saturday, only did one class because I knew he was competing on Sunday too but he went clear! Only a 2'9" course but it was our first time jumping a course together and our first competition so felt really

I (of course) hadn't bothered looking at the jump-off fences which followed straight on, lost fence 10 and ended up with a time of 80 seconds rather than the 30 seconds everyone else was getting

but hey, who cares!

Then went to Sapey unaff ODE yesterday and did the Intro class. Got an OK dressage (64%) which was about the middle of the class & was the same as quite a few others, then had 3 down SJ

. The arena was awful, really small, and the course was really odd too - Josh can get very strong and low/flat when he show-jumps, I lost him after the first fence so we just motorbiked around the arena with no control

Then XC was just AWESOME - he never hesitated or thought about doing anything but jumping, just took me into every fence and was fantastic

Apparently the water jump was quite funny - there was a barrel jump, then 3-4 strides then we had to jump into the water. My friends said you could hear "slow down, slow down....splash....oh good boy Josh!" as he just went straight through. A fab clear round, I was just so happy

Can't wait for my next ODE - an unaff at Broadway on 1st July then going to Ascott-u-Wychwood BE on 14th July. Am even planning to go up to PN when I have sorted out our SJ problems - unheard of for me, but he is so cool!

Sorry, I know this is self indulgent, but it is so great to have a horse like Josh

Sorry - tried to edit but too late - no pics I'm afraid, just looked at the website and there are none of me at all

I always thought they took some of everyone, obviously having a loo break when I went SJ and XC

Yeah, I am just so pleased - and I wasn't even that nervous on the days! Perhaps Prozac does have good side effects

Theres no stopping us now

At Sapey it was www.michaelmartin.co.uk - Emma123 has sent me a link to the guy who was at Hartpury but I can't remember his name I'm afraid. I haven't checked his website for pics yet to see myself jumping over those massive fences
