Wants! :D

(the grey 16.3 5 yr old that is just in case anyone was foolish enough not to know which horse I was referring to;))

He's sounds delightful, just my stamp of horse, only problem is I don't
have 5k :(

But I would like another youngster that will turn out just like that>>>

Same build and colour that will make that height when mature, as my lad is only 16.1.

Any recomendations of breeders or anyone have foals/youngstock that will be the dead spit of the above please! :D

How clever are these ads! Its appeared at the side of this thread now!

When someone is talking about foals, foals appear in the as. Even when there was a thread about the poor donkey that was crushed, an advert for a donkey popped up!

I noticed it had done that too but then I thought perhaps the add all alternate into each section automatically or something

Do you agree he's rather lush though :D

Oh my that's hilarious. If I type in some text about a chestnut 15.2hh all rounder do you think that I will also get an advert??!! It does amaze me how these computer dudes programme word recognition into a programme. AGHHH something for the geeks to think about!!

He has a lovely face :)

How much do you have? Perhaps you could try haggling... ;)

Don't think they would haggle to what I could scrape up, although I would quite happily sell my body for the beast! (but don't the hubby that :D)

No I think a youngster that will turn out like him will just do me nicely after the winter is out of the way.

Meantime if I win on the lotto he's all mine mine mine!!!

Jimmy and Berty (my current IDx)...I think it has quite a ring to it!

Now when is my student loan in so I can add to my list of Irish horses with names like old men...

I'd love to buy him and call him Bert! really like that name, or Dave :D

I've had a Jimmy before and it was a little pony so I think I'd have to change his name, or I could just call him what I call my OH sometimes 'Jimbob'

Have you looked at JanetGeorge stud? she breeds very nice ID's. I have no idea on the pricing but if you are specifically after a baby ID I would start with her... and she breeds a lot of grays on account of her ID stallion being gray too!

Thanks good thinking, do you know if she has a website? although I could drop her a PM ask her, be nice to see some of the young stock if she has any pictures on her website.

Kenzo, I have the very horse for you :D can't remember is he two or three now, gelded, expected to make 16.3hh, iron grey at the moment but lightening out, lovely paces, breeding to die for. Unbroken but well handled, very friendly and a total pet. Gorgeous GORGEOUS fella and if I didn't have my hands full with the ginger knobhead, I would take him in a heartbeat!

His breeder is the father of a mate and he has produced some super horses. Only problem is he's in Co. Tipperary so not exactly local to you :p

Yes Kenzo - I have the boy you so madly desire, due to be weaned at the end of the month. In fact I will be so brave as to say he will be even more handsome :)

Sounds just what I would like, nice age too, but yes a little out of the way I'm afriad, maybe you should have him anyway seen as he'll need a few more years on him before real work starts, if you really like him then don't let him slip away you'll be kicking yourself after. :)

Have pm'd you :)

Thanks, yes I did, just had a quick glance now :), unfortunately (or fortunately depending on how you look at it) I stumbled upon your very beautiful 2yr old gelding, he is something, gosh how I’d love him, won’t ask how much he is as I know he’ll be out of my budget but I hope you find a nice home for him although I presume you’d want him to go to showing home as well, my lad was that colour when I got him (possibly a smidge darker) then he went darker still, is there a photo of the foal you referred to in your previous post?

Ah I am so very lucky, he is the exact image of my IDX Lorenzo (or Larry) he to is 5 and Irish import... Heather Moodie in Oxfordshire has some lovely Sport horses, although pricey, maybe you could go to her with your budget?

I really must take a pic of the foal, he is little brother of the 2yo and in other circumstances he would be on the 'keep' list, but we have really got to rein in keep costs, and we really cannot keep them all.
The 2yo is muhassive (18hh at the last measure!)

Yes he'll make a lovely gentlemans hunter both in the show ring and out on the field.

Arr right that’s interesting, so the foal will no doubt be just like the 2yr old you have then.

If you could drop me a pm and give me an idea on the price you think you’ll be asking for him, will he be advertised in due course or just bobbed on your website.

Many Thanks

I think youd find a lot of very similar 3yos at goresbridge at the moment for approx half of that if you are looking for a younger version. Maybe you should try the April shporthorse sales at Goresbridge next year :).

Never been to Goresbridge Sales, it is something I've always wanted to go to but I'd need someone with me that knows how to do the buying and organising or transport etc as I'd feel a little lost as to what to do and expect, plus I presume it would cost quite a bit to get one shipped across... again it's not something I know anything about. :)

Shipping cost me £300 to get a horse to the East midlands last year so not excessive! But I do get your point about feeling a bit overwhelmed by the whole thing - the first one is always a little nerve-wrecking!
