My 6yro Welsh Cob X TB is lame in her right hind and the vet and physio both think her symptoms indicate facet joint problems along her spine just before the pelvis... She is going for a bone scan before we start pumping her full of steroids.

anybody got any knowledge of this kind of problem and experiences of recovery etc?
Thanks!

I am sorry to hear about your horse.

Is this similar to kissing spines?

When my horse was first diagnosed with chronic arthritis, I did a lot of research on it via google.

I cant help you afraid, but I can give you my sympathy and thoughts.

I will look it up in my copy of veterinary notes for horses owners and get back to you.

Good luck

Dorsal spinous processes are the dorsal ridges
Thats right and the facet joints are the sideways ones.

Am looking in the book now ...

The closet was sacro-iliac joint sprain.

Your horse must have an unusual condition. I will keep looking and let you know if I find anything.

Am very sorry I cant help you. I send you positive thoughts.
