Out of these two yards which one would you choose?
They are both DIY and hayledge and straw I source myself so would stay the same.

YARD 1:
£105 a month.
6 Miles away.
Indoor stables, indoor arena 40x 18 which has a poor surface and is very rarely seen to. Limited road hacking but good offroad hacking around farm. Paddocks arent a great size and never get rested so we have to feed hay outside in the winter months.
Liverys made to feel more like a nuisance rather than paying good money to be there.

YARD 2:
£140 a month
7.5 miles away.
Indoor stables, but outdoor arenas, one 50x40 one 35x25 and a lunge pen. All with good surfaces. Better road hacking and backs onto a network of bridleways but no strictly offroad hacking. Paddocks are a similar size however they get rested and there is no need to feed hay outside. Has a secure tack room, tea room and heated rug room.
New purpose build and is run as a business(not made to feel unwelcome)

So with all that considered which would you choose :o
Thankyou

seems easy choice 2nd yard but it depends on what suits your horse and you. yard one is probably nice in the summer months.

Yard 2 wins easily. I find indoor arenas that do not have proper surfaces put down are relatively useless anyways - its not fun riding in dust!

Probably B- might sound stupid but the direction of the extra 1.5 miles might put me off e.g if I had to go through the city centre and it would take me an extra 20 min each way twice a day for example. Other than that it seems much better- sounds like its more professionally run.

I think the fact you put almost all negatives for Yard 1 and all postives for yard 2 means you've already answered your own question :)
1.5 miles, so 3 miles a day shouldent add too much to your petrol bill so if you can afford the more expensive livery its a clear choice.

Absolutely no contest!!!! Sod the price I would definitely go for yard B, at the end of the day, you get what you pay for. Actually for those facilities worth the extra money if you can afford it, I can't believe how much livery is in your area!!!
