fag butt found in global herb product

Global herbs DO claim that their products are competition legal. Its stated near the front of their brochure.

I checked this a couple of months ago as i wanted to try the headshaking product. Didn't work for my horse.

I emailed them once requesting the ingredients of there shake relief product, they wouldn't sent it, they asked me to speak to them by telephone. I did try the product but tbh it was £30 a tub and lasted a week, after 3 weeks I couldn't jusify the money

I do think he is actually a vet...or was.

Struck off? :D (I joke, I hope he wasn't!)

Herbal products for animals don't even have to be efficacy tested the same way human ones do, as others have said.

My vet told me recently one of his customers convinced him to order them some special herbal pills at £100 a pop. Two days later a news story broke which said that these pills contained none of the herbs claimed to be in there and low levels of a drug which cost pence!

Global Herbs - I'm put off using them now, for sure.

This is exactly why NAF are one of the very few supplement companies that subscribe to NOPS and are also approved by the FEI Team Vets.

I have literally JUST spent £27 on a tub of Sarc-Ex from global herbs. and after reading this thread an dubious about feeding it to my horse :/ what an awfully run company!

This has been brought back from the dead. I remember this being posted a loooong time ago! Wouldn't recommend global herbs poor customer service and advice on phone when sarc ex wasn't working.

Didn't see the original thread but would be interested to see how you got on - that's awful!! Both the fag butt and their response. I've always had good experiences with GH but am shocked at hearing this.

I'm another one who has always loved their products. Infact, I've just bought a tub of Airways plus but in all honesty am put off a bit after reading this.

I would also like to know the outcome and may even call them myself.

I wonder if GH are always reluctant to respond in writing and want people to discuss things over the phone with them(ingredients etc) because they don't want to put anything in writing which could later be proved untrue...?? Same theory applies to the no clear ingredient listings on packaging maybe...?

This is very disturbing as I use Sarc-X as it has been particularly successful I was about to try their joint supplement. Keep us all posted.

Just wanted to add that I have also had very good results from Sarc ex

I would also accept that it is inevitable that the odd contamination can happen from time to time. I think it's the way it was dealt with hat was the real issue. It should have been replaced/refunded immediately and an investigation into how contamination occurred carried out to prevent a reoccurrence.
