Fairfax Girth

I've seen loads of good reviews about them and only one or two poor ones. You can try before you buy from some suppliers for a small fee.

I'd get one if I had the money :(
 
Well I was a bit like hmmmm really..??

So anyway got a lend of one last night and tried my 5 year old in it, never notice that much difo during schooling session but I was doing poles and he can be a little tence with pole work

Anyway after a session I also do a big long low trot round the school to let him stretch and well JEZZO he was off in a big extended trot, I could not believe it, striding out way more than ever before.

I'm totally convinced and away to buy one today. Honestly I was shocked at how free and big he moved tonight.

Thanks folks will have to start saving as they are very expensive will see if I can borrow one.
 
I bought one today - credit card now maxed out. However, OMG- maybe it's like the placebo effect and I think I am an Olympic dressage rider but my usually stress head ex-racer was amazing in this. Didn't try to bit my head off when I tightened the girth and and rode like a dream! Soft, non-fightey - totally amazing. I'll update you tomorrow lol. However, as it goes, my usually stresshead horse went like a PSG horse - loose, stretchy and lovely pointy toes when asked. I have never seen her like it in the year I have owned her.

I got one because my mare had two areas of callused skin in her girth areas and it didn't matter what girth I used they never went away (until now!) I tried all sorts of shaped firths and nothing worked but I got one of these girls when they were on offer in H&H and she is finally gall free! It went straight away on one side and took bit longer on the other.
As far as any miracles regarding stride length/jump etc I can't say I've noticed any difference but am just over the moon to have finally found a girth she's comfy in :-)
