Fairfax saddles

They're fine. I have a classic XC and it does the job and wasnt excessively expensive. Not as supportive as my previous Albion however and I will be looking to replace it in a few years
 
Very nice saddles for the money, and much more to them than upmarket Kent & Masters (same stable).

You sit on a K&M, you sit in a Fairfax.

I have a Classic GPD fitted and bought new. Horse is far happier in it than in her previous Ideal Event saddle, which my previous fitter had declared a good fit. My position is much better, too - bye bye chair seat.

The demo Fairfax that I trial rode in was the Classic dressage, which again was a lovely saddle.

I tried Albion and fairfax for Bertie and he seemed to go better and I felt more comfortable in the fairfax. Ive got dressage and jump but not sure which models. Lovely leather and very well made. The dressage knee rolls are prob a wee bit big for my little stubby legs but it’s still a nice saddle.

Are you me ? Always loved Ideal saddles, but didn't suit latest horse. We went through 4 saddles and some muscle wastage...all fitted by Saddlers, until we tried a Fairfax. This one fits beautifully and it's comfortable for me too. The leather is so good that I had to buy the stirrup leathers and girth too... sadly, my horse isn't so keen on the girth.
 
My daughter’s old horse had two fairfax saddles - a dressage (Gareth model) and a mono flap XC - he loved them both, however her next horse, despite being ostensibly the same size, hated them both, particularly the dressage. We sold them for only a little less than we’d bought them for so they hold their value well.
 
I had a Fairfax Gareth for about 2 years until my horse just changed shape too much for it to fit properly. No major complaints about it. I would buy a Fairfax again if it fit both me and the horse.
 
I tried two Fairfax jump saddles a month or so ago. I didn’t feel at all secure in them.
I love my Ideal jump most but went with an Albion, bit more expensive but feels far nicer to ride in, to me!
 
I have just bought a Fairfax dressage saddle and the difference in my horse is huge! It has really freed up her shoulder and she is now so forward I am having to learn new techniques to control it!
 
I love my Fairfax, best of both worlds in that they're amazing quality & adjustable. The freedom shoulder is fab on my big shouldered Warmblood & doesn't restrict him at all.
One thing to be a aware of is that some models suit horses with a flatter back & others more curved, for example, my jump classic fits my boy perfectly as he's flatter backed. I bought a second hand Rebecca dressage & now need to sell it on as it far to curved & shaped, won't go near him! So definitely get a good fitter.
