Today when we were out on a hack on the way home we came a across 6 or 7 men on bikes, Tess is great with them so no issue there but one young man who had downs syndrome stopped and told the others to incase they spooked the pony :) It was this small action that made me smile and Tess stopped to say hello and everyone had a pat of her. Really was such a considerate young man who Tess clearly liked after she decided to rub her chops on his neck which she normally only does to the farrier

Pointless post really but made me smile and im in such a good mood after seeing there are people who care, so when a van flew past us with a trailer bouncing behind it i wasn't even bothered :o

How lovely to hear....

I had a similiar experience with a tractor driver yesterday when hacking out my new baby. As the tractor approached, I called to him that if he could reverse back past a gateway I would take the horse off the road - instead he reversed the tractor into the gateway and turned off the engine to let me pass safely.

I hopefully now have a youngster that realises tractors are not scary and was very grateful for his un-prompted help in the invaluable education of my youngster!

How considerate! I had a similar incident yesterday with a tractor pulling a very terrifying harrow! Tractor driver stopped and horse I was on tried to spin once he saw the tractor, I asked the driver if he was OK to wait while I let the horse sniff the harrow and figure out that it wasn't going to kill him! Very grateful to patient tractor driver!

Aw! That's really really sweet! That he stopped and that your girl had a cuddle :D

I was so proud of her for being so gentle with all of them, she isn't normally one for hugs due to being headshy in the past but must of picked up on the gentleness of them :)
What a thoughtful young man.
He really was, and very gentle when giving her a pat :)

That was great of him, it is those little things that add up and go a long way :)

Bless, people do not realise how small kind actions like that help to form a rounded confident horse :)

What a lovely young man, hopefully his friends will remember & check next time they come across a horse to check the horse is ok with bikes :)

He was very nice :) they didn't realise a bike might spook a horse so all listened to what this young man had to say and gave her a pat, but yes hopefully.

Made me smile reading this :)

I'm glad i was smiling afterwards and thought fellow equine lovers on here would understand the importance of such a small but significant action
