Last night i got to the yard went to get my horse from the field to find he had gashed the front of one of his hind legs badly, he is away from the yard so wouldnt have been noticed before. Cue total hysterics from me Every person on the yard at the time came to our help they were fantastic there are not enough words in the world to say how thankful I am. He is now in the vets awating xray and treatment and im still a complete mess but one thing I am so glad is that we are on the most amazing yard with the most amazing people and after all the yard problems you hear of I just wanted to say there are good yards out there with wonderful people.

((((((((((hugs)))))))))))) to you and (((((((vibes))))))))) for your horse. Hope he gets better soon.
And what a lovely yard you are on. :) Well done to all those who helped you. :)

I can hardly call mine a yard - just my own horse and two liveries. A couple of years back one of my livery horses was dying, in the field, from a sudden resurgence of colic. He was a very old gentleman, the decision had been taken to have him PTS, the vet was on his way, but his owner, a veterinary nurse herself, couldn't leave work,as there was an emergency operation at HER vets. I was sitting out on the hillside with the old boy, who was down. Our field borders the road, and various people gave me curious stares as they drove by. Then the co-owner of the local, very busy and large, livery and breeding establishment drove by. She stopped her car, came in, sat down beside me on the wet grass - it was Easter time and getting dusk - and stayed well over an hour with me until the vet came. She put off several appointments, and just said "you need the company!" I was so touched by her caring attitude, when she had such a busy life herself. And what a lovely standard she sets for her yard.

There are the people out there what a wonderful person to sit with you and how kind of you also to do that i makes you stronger knowing there are people out there that will go the extra mile, Our livery owner has been fantastic I really could not with more caring and kind people to be around me at this time i know it is going to be a long road to recovery but we will get there day by day whatever the outcome.
I have a lot of thank you shopping to do now
