I was browsing Horsemart last night and came across the following ad which cought my eye....

http://www.horsemart.co.uk/i-hanv-a...e-9-yrs-16-1-hh-palomino-for-ad/Horses/316071

A further look at it and its very strange- price in $'s, yet a Blackburn (Lancashire) phone number, says for 'adoption'.

Then I noticed "Valley View Ranch.net" on the bottom of the photo.
A quick google search shows the same 'gelding' that was sold from the ranch in Texas. The horse has also shrank.

Why would someone do this...I might just be being dumb? Unless they have a very similar looking horse and just thought to steal the photo's?

Half tempted to facebook the ranch and email horsemart!

Some strange folk out there!

Someone will be stupid enough to send a deposit. Bye Bye money.

BTW the description is nicked from a Nottinghamshire stud's advert - I've notified them.

I tried ringing the number but didn't get past the first three digits after the area code.

I suppose some people must fall for it or else people wouldn't carry on trying. Tut.

I know horsemart have nicked adverts them selves before!
Found our lorry, and a couple of friends lorries on there....not one of us had advertised with them.

Nearly all details about the lorry had changed! Including price and age!!!! 'They couldn't explain it' 'had no record of it being posted' and gave us vouchers to repost our lorry on their site as we asked for it to be taken down as it was so wrong!!!
