They are investigating pet cremation.

How do some firms get around the fact that they advertise an individual cremation, when infact a group cremation..... Disgusting

So please , when you loose a friend please make sure you know for sure it is your friend you get back :(

I didn't watch it as didn't want to know. As far as I know that is my little girl in that box and I don't want anybody telling me any different

MiCsarah I am 100% in agreement with you. Shame on anyone who has lied to heartbroken pet owners, whether a horse, a dog, a hamster or a budgie in this despicable way.

Problem is how do you ever really know I guess. But I'm not going there, going to keep on believing because I don't think everyone in that industry can be callous heartless liars surely?

Please don't say that :(

Only just buried 'Billy's' ashes, my grandmas dog.. She did ask me if I knew where they went to, and my grandad asked me how do we know that is Billy.. So sad I wasn't quite sure how to answer, just that the vets reassured us it was him.

This has happened to my friend, had her mare put down a few years ago and during the time she was cremated, the company/person doing it ended up in the news and papers about lieing about individual cremation. Friend didnt end up getting anything back as she would have had a mixture of animals!

We have always used David Funnell the brother of William. He told me once that when one of his horses passed away he wanted to make sure that everything was done to ease the pain of the passing so he set up his own business so that he make sure that others had the same respect care and attention that all of our special friends deserve. He is a wonderfull person and if you ever can make that day any easier to cope with he goes a long way in trying to help you, I would always recomend him to people.

Millies ashes are still on the mantlepeice from a few weeks ago. I miss her so much, I have looked inside and wondered "is it her"?

I didn't watch. I'm just going to believe that it is and scatter her in my father's woods.

I worried about this when we lost our dobi and was so pleased to find her leg plate wrapped up under her ashes, was a great comfort to me

i know of 2 places that were investigated for claiming to do individual cremation when in fact they did multiple cremation.
one of them was just after a friends horse was sent to them to be cremated. she was heartbroken at losing her horse and i couldn't bring myself to tell her that the crematorium was under investigation, as far as she was concerned it was her horse she had back.

i use a nice little crem, i'm now about 100 miles from them but they came and collected my old mare, were very nice and even allowed my OH to help load her into the trailer (not normally allowed as too distressing), they then brought her ashes back to me free of charge and were very sympathetic, in fact the guy who brought the ashes back shed a few tears when he handed the ashes over.

we've been to the crem and seen how they do things, my OH saw them do a single cremation and that's why we chose to use them.

when my sister worked at a vets many years ago they had a dead dog shed they put the dogs and in they werent labelled or anything just taken away and many owners had wanted their pets ashes back.
