Fake Passport?

I've spoken to a few people about my horses passport. He's a gelding & according to the information on the ueln database he is a spayed mare! :rolleyes: He's supposed to be 10, more like 10 minus 6 years! his behaviour is WAY to baby like for a 10 year old. You go to bring him in from the field, he doesnt let you untill he's got the end of his lead in his mouth & leads himself in, you cant groom him until he has mouthed every brush he has! (Not normal) but anyhow, his passport is dutch & from 'vlaamse confederatie van het paard' he's part of the Flemish association but couldnt find any info on this specific breed association! He was imported from Belgium to England... no proof of that & no where in the passport has been signed to say he has had an identity check. I have looked for a microchip database in Belgium but not found one :( the one on the equine passport society says he is non existent! but then i guess if he's supposed to have been slaughtered will he be registered anywhere? Will post his info if anyone knows of any solutions!
 
I've been on the passport issuers website for the last 2 hours translating everything trying to find anything along the lines of a database of them horses, and theres nothing :confused:
 
Belguim is comprised of two distinct regions, Flanders and Wallonia. Half speaks Dutch, half speak French. They dislike each other but dislike France and Holland more. The are also some German speakers.
 
Soem of the peoples opinions i've asked for have been stud farm owners & they've seen many horses, none of them have seen a passport like his. Ok I understand theres alot of different passport issuers out there... but id of hoped someone would have seen/ heard of these before? Just wanna get to the bottom of the problem & find something that tells me what he really is, age breed etc

Sort of an identity passport group rather than a breed society. There are email addresses to contact them and also a page showing each page of a passport so you can compare it to yours.

I know that, but 'flemish confederation' thats what his breed thing is, i've searched it, and there are other nreed associations with flemish in them, but i cant find one that is actually called flemish confederation?
 
Firstly, he could well be 10....just broken late. Have you had a dentist out to age his teeth?
Then you have to think who/where you bought him from. A certain dealer imports a far amount from Belgium and then re-passports them with pet ID passports.
Clearly he is not a speyed mare so something has gone awry somewhere.
But you may have to accept you might not be able to get his correct breeding, and he may just be on a generic passport.

if you want to scan it and pm the bits you want translated out of the passport my boyfriend can have a go, but hes dutch not flemish but he might be able to give you a general idea.

I think theres a couple of other dutch people on here too.
 
Talking of passports .
I do not see they are as good as they are made out to be.

Some one can get vet to do another after they stole the pony. You cna tell trading standards but they do jack ****.
Makes a mockery of the system
 
Sometimes the chips are not even registered.....
The amount of imports that have chips not registered to any database is worrying.
 
Now I am confused.....his passport says he is a spayed mare, you bought him off a private seller and know he was supposedly sent to slaughter?
How do you know all this?
Did you not check the passport at the time of sale?
Did you not question the seller as to why his passport did not match up to what was in front of you?
 
We checked his passport before we took him, & didnt think nothing more of it until a few nights ago, the dates seemed about right when we looked until i looked properly, & its all messed up:rolleyes:
