Fake Stubben Saddles

My friend is a saddler/saddle fitter and has her own tack shop. When I was hanging out there today a woman bought in her brand new Stubben saddle to buy a padded carry bag for it.

The saddle was not a stubben... even the stubben buttons were fake. She bought it on eBay.

Has anyone heard of fake Stubben saddles before. Is this a fluke, or is the next big dodgy dealing oportunity knock off saddlery? We would love to know!

there has been alot of thefts in our area and other areas too with tack and rugs been stolen even off the horses backs!

I've not heard of this rip off before but it doesn't surprise me. Any well known brand are bound to be subject of counterfeiting of their goods. In the Middle & Far East there is little concern regarding regarding patents & counterfeiting of goods & so it was only a matter of time that The Stubben Brand was going to be copied & people ripped off.

I used to loan a 3 year old TB and his owner had bought him an "Imitation Stubben Dressage Saddle" I.e a fake..
I loved it though, very comfy..

It is really easy to get rip off kit - you just need to know where to order it.....
