Has anybody got one of thease rugs? I am looking to buy a decent H/W turnout for my thin skinned mare. A weight of 350G will be more than enough for when it gets cold. I have been looking at the Fal Bulldog and the Fal Crusader. The only thing that puts me off the Bulldog is the ripstop outer which is only 640D compared to a good 1000 or 1200 in other's.

Generally my mare doesn't trash her rugs but if I'm going to spend £150 plus on a decent rug I do want one that will last. She has a M/W horseware combo and I love their rugs for their fit and durability, but hate the neck covers which never seem thick or adequate enough.

So, if anybody can sing the praises of the Fal bulldog I thinks it will be a toss up between that or a Fal Crusader!

I have one and a major rug trashing mare - it's testimony to it that I have had it for 7 years and it's survived 2 very rug harsh horses! It's still like new, I've never reproofed it only pressure washed it. No repairs etc and it's still as good as ever.
 
Ive got a Fal Viking heavyweight with integrated attachable neck and I love it!!! She is always warm and toasty and it honestly makes her coat shine and is a generous fit and dosnt rub mane or body.

I bought it in 2001 and its still going strong, never had to do any repairs. To be honest I think with any of the more expensive Fal rugs you will not be disapointed, but be careful with the cheaper range.
