What do you think of them?

Are they worth it?

How deep are they, ie, how well do they fit the more chunky sort of horse?

LOVE Fal. Not cheap but well worth the money. They are deep enough for my horse, who has a big belly whether she's fit and slim or not! I struggled to find deep enough rugs but Fals were fine. They usually have plenty of room in front to accommodate big shoulders. I've also never known a Fal to rub.
I wish I could afford a whole wardrobe of Fals!

I absolutely adore Fal. I only have Fal and Rambo rugs - would always chose Fal over Rambo but can't get them here.

I have my chunky QH's and Appaloosas in them and they are truly the most wonderful rugs around, in my opinion.

hi, my irish draft only fits fal rugs as he has big shoulders and a bigger belly. every outdoor/ stable rug he has is a fal only had problems this year as hes been roughed off the rug is very slightly rubbing one shoulder. but after 6 years of fals i dont mind this.

Fal are the only rugs that fit my hunter as they are more generous and they will make them extra deep to order. I don't use any other rugs now.

I have just read this post and am relived to read some of the posts. I have just "inherited" a fal cavalier via a skip, ( unbelivably it was the right size) and after some repairs worried that I had done all this work and it wouldn't fit my beasties!

i only use fal rugs , although i do have rambos various ones including the duo when it was brought out but there not as good as fals and there commander is far better to the rambo duo

We only ever use FAL rugs through the winter. The silver lined ones. They are fab, never slip, never rub or anything.

i don't buy anything else. i bought about 6 heavyweight Goliath and Viking turnout rugs from them about 8 yrs ago, all still going strong, and pretty much as good as new. they fit my mw and lw event types (some wide-ish Irish types) perfectly. NEVER rub, can stay on 24/7 for months without a problem. definitely worth the money. i don't use the hind leg straps at all any more, just fillet string and crossed belly straps, and they're properly self-righting. can't recommend highly enough.

fraid to put a spaner in the works here but i tried a few different Fal rugs and on different horses, all of them badly rubbed at the withers on all horses and i ended up having to sell them all on Ebay !
I have tried just about all makes and ended up settling back on the Rambos and they have lots of room at the fronts, chest, and never rub at the shoulders or withers ever.
I wud never buy anything but rambos now.

They are nice rugs, I'll only use Fal or Rambo. TBH I've found rambo fit my horses better around the neck and shoulders so I tend to stick to them. Fals would be really good on a chunky horse I reckon.

My fal rugs have lasted 10years and they are still going! I recommend them - not the cheapest but worth it in the long run imo.
