FAL Viking vs Rambo Plus

Hi

It's all in the title really! Need to buy my horse a new rug as fed up with repairing his every weekend. He currently has a Rhino h/w t/o with a detachable neck - but neck attachements keep coming off (the velcro bits), and the rings for the fillet string keep coming off too.

Been looking at either the Rambo plus or Fal viking? Both cost a fair bit of money, so wanted to know which is better...

well I always thought Rambo but since I bought a new one in oct and it leaked badly through the darts in the rump and I am still waiting for a replacement over 2 months later not anymore!

Since FAL were sold a few years ago I do feel that the quality has suffered. If you can get hold of an older FAL Viking off ebay I would try that.

Having recently bought Rambo Duos for a couple of my horses I have to say that I am very pleased with the quality (no leaks, etc).

My favourite however is Bucas.

FAL if you can find one. Exceptional quality. I have a new Viking & it's identical to the old ones so far.

Cuffey has a Fal, it does not move or leak or rub
However the neck rug made a mess of his mane so has not been used this winter

The old FALs are fantastic but they dont fit my horse as well as the Rambo. So Im a Rambo fan, had them years, much more hard wearing than the Rhino.
Odd really that the FALs dont fit as he is a MW with a deep chest. I find the necks are too big.

FAL definately as I am trying to shift an old style golliath lol!

Ha Ha, tbf the premier equine are fab quality imo
