does anyone know if they are ok? Saw Andrew Nicholson being stretchered off and a nasty rotational in the 2* this afternoon but not sure who the rider was. Hope both are ok.

now im confused, admittedly we walked to the fence and the rider was already on the ground. Im sure heard the commentator say it wasnt a good day for andrew nicholson, and someone was leading about a grey horse. Well whoever it was, i really hope they are ok.

The girl that had the rotational at the top water complex was Lucy Robertson. I was standing there when it happened....hope she is ok, it was a really nasty fall :(

I believe she is currently in hospital in Dundee. They wouldn't give me more info as I am not family but am intending to visit her...she is alive but pretty badly injured. It is so hard doing what we do and seeing that happen right in front of our eyes, isn't it? I can pass on your best wishes along with those of the others who saw her fall who were with us at the time.
Keep safe X

oh my gosh, the poor girl! I was watching that fence and literally walked away with babybear to go and say hi to figjam and when we walked back she was on the ground we could see her horse had flipped by the state of the saddle. Prayers for her for a full and speedy recovery.

I was fence judging at fence 11 yesterday. We didn't get much info over the radio, but our section steward told us Lucy was knocked out for a few minutes then came round. The hold on course was a good 40mins, weren't allowed to move her until the air ambulance arrived. Last we heard last night was that she was a bit battered but ok.

Other faller was Andrew Hoy in the CIC***, at fence 12. I caught his horse. He was fine and remounted and walked it off the course.

Saw Lucy's fall - was very nasty. Ollie Townend had a rotational fall at first element of water 2* - second last horse of the day. He fell in the water with the horse well and truly on top of him, he was ok - very lucky, the horse seemed ok, got the ambulance home. He wasn't wearing his pt2 jacket - it went off earlier in the 3* on the jump into the water and he couldn't carry on - made it over b but retired before c.

I was an arena party for showjumping and one poor girl fell off, was taken away in an ambulance and later air lifted. I was told later on today that she was ok though.

Hi there, Lucy has cracked some ribs and punchured her lungs but will be fine. I spoke to her today and she was in alot of pain but trying to be upbeat! She is hoping she will get out of hospital in a few days time. Going to visit her tomorrow so will pass on everybodys best wishes! Thank you!
