I've just seen the news article that anyone falling off at the Olympics is automatically eliminated in the jumping. It also says that BE is considering whether to implement this rule. What do people think about this?
There is quite a long thread on this in competition riders.
The rule is a horse fall i.e. when shoulders or quarters touch the ground it is elimation but at present the rider can be unseated and get back on and continue.
Sorry, wasn't clear. It is for SJ but not for eventing. For BE XC, you get 65 pens for first fall, eliminated on the second. I'm thinking if you get unseated because your horse slips or leaves a leg. If they're in a team, the whole team might end up unable to complete.
think in be if your horses shoulder touches the ground is classed as a HF and you are E, but you can fall off twice before being E unseated twice (U2) near a fence, and i do bel as many times as you like inbetween!!!! imite be wrong!!
