Just wondering if there's any experiences out there? I'm referring to scar tissue within muscles, where the muscle has been torn and tried to repair itself, leaving you feeling pretty tied up? Anyone had it treated and if so, what treatment and how effective was it? Thanks!

i dont know whether your talking about a horse or a person :p

if your talking about a horse though... taz has scar tissue where the back of the saddle sits from where he injured his leg (when he pulled his leg out of the wire he must have torn the muscles in his back) but i have been working on getting them to reduce in size (which is working but slowely) over the last 3 years by massaging once a day, physio and leg and back stretches... they have gone from about the size of a hand to about a golf ball now :) i hope that would help if its a horse... if not it might kinda help if your a person... mainly massage therapy though :)

I'd be interested to know too! I have scar tissue in my right glute from being chucked off 2 years ago and it is constantly causing me problems....

Yes I had loads I thought I had to live with it until a physio mentained that massage can help it ( why no one mentained it before I just dont know ) it was very painful to have it massaged at first and while you can't turn the clock back completely it's loads and loads better.
I had a fall last Christmas and ruptured a muscle it was very sore but I went straight to get it sorted and although you can tell where it was its almost normal it would not have been if I had left it you do learn about these things by your mistakes.
I have massaged by the physios and also a sports trained massage lady I only wish I had known sooner.

Goldenstar - did you go via a private physio or NHS? I visited a chiropractor last month who confirmed scar tissue throughout my neck, back and shoulders, but at £32 per 15mins for him to crack everything he could and leave it clunking more than when I first went in, I was a bit dubious! Interested to know whether it's worth speaking to a doctor or just go via a physio? The pain's been terrible since my last fall :(
