Posted the other day to say alisha had scanned in foal, however the vet came out today and scanned her again (day 26) and the blob they thought was a foal is now only the size it would have been on her 17day scan and therefore the vet thinks it is a cist (sp?) instead

She also has a massive follicle so it was definately a false alarm. Not going to try again this year as it's really a bit too late so going to try again next year

hugs to you. that happened to my friends mare but she caught again on the second attempt and is now home and pregnant. like you said is too late now (says the girl who is still waiting for her 17 day scan!!

damn, really sorry to hear that, on a positive note glad to hear your giving up this time and planning ahead for next year, very sensible thing to do.
 
Thanks, on the plus side her foot is healing nicely (she had a hairline fracture of the pedal bone) so should be able to start riding her again soon and then will put her in foal next year
