I have a 3 year old jack russell called Lily and she is showing signs of false pregnancy - even producing milk.

Have any of you experienced this? Have you got any tips on how to treat it? Some people have told me to see a vet and some people have said I don't need to?

Help!!!

Thanks x

I would pop her to the vet. My old girl had a phantom which developed into a pyometra and we nearly lost her. I would look into getting her spayed. Be vigilant as they can sometimes start nesting and even ingest things like socks, teddies, small puppy-like things (my girl also did this and had to have two pairs of tights unwound from around her intestines!!!).

My old Lurcher did this once. She carried a banana toy around with her and would literally scream the house down if it was taken away.

she hasnt really shown any signs like that... im not even sure thats what it is, she has one sore nipple and its producing milk :s
she is a bit reluctant to leave her bed but she doesnt whine any more than usual (shes a bit whingy anyway) shes still quite happy to come and cuddle up with us though if called.
