False Tails

Does anyone know where you can buy a false horse tail that isnt ridiclously expensive??? i have tried ebay and generally googling it but keep coming to a dead end as most as seem to be in america! Any help would be great

How much do you need? a full tail or sections to thicken it out?

honestly dont know, tail comes to just above the hocks, very thick at the top and then really disappears into nothing. When he carrys it looks bit silly. Needs some lenght and thickness.

Someone asked me about a false tail only yesterday. A youngster has chewed her horses tail off! Any info greatly appreciated. This one is black so shouldnt be too hard to match.

Shame you're not over here! My friend José is a hairdresser and he's just put extensions in his horse's tail. Shame the horse is BAY and the extensions are BLONDE!!

What colour is his tail? Do you have any other horses with a similar colour?, Ive just had to make my traditional cob a false mane section, not quite the same but you could use the same principle. You wouldnt need too much from a donor tail. This is what i made and it was cheap too!!

we use false tails for showing western - they add thickness. This season though our youngster has enjoyed some tail munching on a horse that usually has one and now the false tail doesn't look right, as there are 2 tiers, the first where the natural one finishes, and the second where the false ail finishes, so looks silly. So not sure that it would help if you are trying to add length.
