Just got in after calling the vet at 8pm.
Rob was tied up outside his box and spooked at something, pulling back, snapping his lead rope and then doing a bunk!
He cantered to the nearest field - which has a huge puddle infront of it.
His phobia of water shone through and he leapt sideways - up a boggy bank and sank
I caught him and he seemed fine - washed his legs off - no cuts etc.
As i walked of to switch hose off he started bucking / kicking out on the spot. Untied him and walked him forwards and he kept leaping and broncing behind - called vet at that point.
Vet came, sedated as we were getting nowhere near those lashing legs and had a prod - confirmed what i already thought that is is deep muscular damage.
He has had a variety of injections bless him and has pain killers, anti imflammetries (?).
Need to assess in morn whether i need vet back
So vibes please - he is going to be one VERY sore pony in the morning
