how about this? He's supposed to be a dragon. For a under saddle varient put he wings on the pommel and find a crupper

What colour is he? If he's dark (or grey) you could go as a chess piece (er, knight obviously) - chequered summer sheet, rider all in black or white carrying a makeshift spear.

Oh he looks like that all the time! He's a grumpy old fart but absolutly adores small children. His whole face looks like it changes shape! And dressed like that all day he certainly got alot of attention! Also won the property's competition for best dragon! (each department had to make a dragon! hehe)

Has he got big ears? Suggested to my sister this evening that she and her mare next dress up as little red riding hood and grandma, sister with red cloak, horse with mop cap and bed socks.
