Just wondering if anyone has used these yet and what did they think? Although, I'm sure another company had something similar out a couple of years ago??

I think in theory they sound a good idea. Twig and I tend to 'block' in the left rein and although it is improving through regular lessons and schooling I think these could possibly help? (I must add though she is rising 5 and her teeth haven't stopped changing yet)

So, do I buy a pair or are they a gimmick and i should carry on as i am?

Well, I have some inserts (you put them between the bit and the rein) which basically do the same thing. I really like them, I do a fair bit of jumping and I like the extra give should anything not go quite as planned...elastic will always respond more quickly to release tension than a human will as well. They cost me a tenner from ebay!! So yes, they are good, but a tad expensive!

lol. my mum thinks they are expensive too and reckons they have been about for years!

she reckons i may as well clip my side reins on to the bit and tie them together at the rider end to make a pair of reins and have a tester before splashing out!

hmmmmm, i may just carry on as i am for a while then!

My sister bought some years ago, I did use them recently to make an elasticated standing martingale until I could find one to buy - they were good at that job
