I would like to put my purebred ID mare to a warmblood stallion but not sure which, and also to an Arab to see what the results would be!

I'd have a couple of good flat mare in foal to Galileo plus some apps from the States , a couple of Mr Yella Fella fillies and some cleveland mares .And for couple I mean five or six (or more)!!!

BTW the Hanoverians do not allow dilute colors as Palomino, buckskin and for sure no cremello. I do have several Hanoverian bred dilutes but they are registered Oldenburg as Hanover would not allow the color.

Just as well this is a fantasy breeding. I can't for the life if me understand why they would be so prejudiced against colour if the stalion/mare was good enough to grade?

In an ideal world..
Id like to keep my boy entire, gather a few mares and set up my own little appaloosa stud..and then see where things go from there.
I am sort of toying with this idea in reality.

thankfully its only the Hanoverians and the Holsteiners that are against the Pintos and Dilutes and dont allow them. If only they would know how many Pintos (Sabinos, Splash, Rabicano) they do already have in their gene pool! And the Hanoverians had the beginning of the dilute WBs in their hands as they had the Hanoverian Creams in their castle stud farm Herrenhausen. Then they didnt like those horses anymore and sold them all off, but they have been the beginning stock of the German dilute WBs.

Thanks for the info flyingcolours. Its interesting re the creams and a shame they did not continue to explore that avenue.
