5"3 bang on and 8 1/2 stone.
I ride anything from 12.2hh to about 16.2hh, I'm happy to sit on something bigger as long as its well schooled but find I struggle to educate a baby giant horse due to my leg length. My ideal height is abut 15.3hh- 16hh and that's what I'm most comfortable on. I used to like schooling little ponies but now just feel like there's nothing underneath me! My current horses are 15.2hh, 15.3hh and just over 16hh (but built like a tank!)
I am slightly out of your criteria too (at 5ft 1in). I have always had quite big horses - the biggest was just short of 18hh - but I had trouble steering as my legs had too little effect
My current "project" is 16.3hh and I think I could have a similar problem
. I don't buy them as "big" - I buy them as youngsters - praps I feed them too well
My smallest horse (and current fav horse) which will stay with me for ever is 15.1 and is pictured below.
im 5'3'' & ride both my 15.3tbx & 14.1nfx but also used to ride a 17.2idxtb (sadly he was pts on christmas eve RIP) who i did look a bit stupid on but he was a saint!
I am 5ft4 and have 5 ponies. 3 of them are ridden, 13hh Haflinger/Welsh B/C type, 13.2hh reg New Forest pony, 14.1hh mini TB type. I also have a 13.1hh NF x Exmoor, she used to be ridden but not any more cos of a tendon injury, and then there is my mini Shet who I don't ride for obvious reasons
Beans, just over 16hh, but she was smaller when I bought her!
And Star, 16.2hh, (I only answered the ad because the magazine misprinted her height!
)
I wouldn't like anything bigger than Star, but equally anything much under 16hh feels tiny to me. I've never really been into little horses, much as I loved and miss my 14.2
