FAO Bernster!!!!! How's it going?

Aww niki that's so sweet of you to post!! I've just been having a little cruise on the forums and saw this. Well, I am smiling as I write this so that must be a good sign!

I collected tinky yesterday , seems ages ago now how odd. She loaded fine, neighed a bit but then settled down and snoozed most of the way home. It was 1.5 hours (Wantage to Herts). She was pretty relaxed when I unloaded her.

After staring at her for a little bit and making up my list of things to buy (she's in borrowed gear from my other horse and has nothing of her own- soon rectified!) I left her tucking into a hay net and watching all the other horses.

Went down today - and she was gone!! Fortunately just on the walker though :p

Had a groom and a walk in hand round the yard. All good, when I popped her back in she did two massive yawns ! She's really sweet though. Taking it very slowly - groundwork/in hand until saddle gets sorted in 2 weeks then will start slow in the school and see how we go. Too many scare stories on here - I'm being v slow but am in no hurry.

She's going out tmrw and seems keen to meet new friends. Will take some piccies tmrw of my shiny pony :)
 
So pleased everything seems to be going well! Really looking forward to seeing the photos. The saddle situation is a pain with new horses. When the saddler came out to me it was the first time I had ridden Cameo at home in the field so a little nerve racking to say the least! Keep us updated on your progress. :) x
 
Righto - finally stopped just ogling her and took a few piccies tonight. Not the best pose etc., but hope they come out ok.

I appear to have fallen for a TB mare (crossed with WB but a whole lotta TB showing here methinks!). That was not quite the plan but, hell, plans n lists go out the window when they wuffle at you and lick your hand :)

Apparently not full TB - crossed with a WB mare but I think the only thing that is WB is perhaps her temperament ! Friend mentioned that you can do a check on line to work out what % they are, which I will try and do as am curious.
 
Ooh, she is lovely. Congratulations :D the saddle thing is so frustrating isn't it? Still, won't be long until you're all set and ready to go :D

I couldn't resist that face when I went and tried her !! Ghostie - will check if that thread you did on recommendations for TBs had any saddles in it. Have a horrible feeling she might be a bit tricky to fit!
