Well, after doing Newcomers at Addington where she jumped really nice but then ran out of steam and crashed the last 2 fences, the plan was to go for a confidence boosting round in the discovery.
Warm up was really nice and she only spooked at a couple of horses and lorries
Went in the ring and saw a bit of a long one into the first, Tica was then like "party!" and flew round the rest and just had number 8 down due to being a bit onward bound
I was very tempted to do the 1.05 but called it a day instead to save her for Hand after Christmas.
So all in all very pleased, especially as I found out that they were building particularly big at Addington on the 9th so the 1.10 was nearer 1.20!

well done!!! gosh - if they were building htem that big and you survived, the next 110 will look like tiny! Glad you both ended on a good note!!!

Pete didn't go yesterday - he's working on his technique before Hand
Hmm, it only came to light about the 1.10 after I jumped the discovery and remarked "is it me or are they building small today?"
I think the course builder at RL had been watching too much Olympia though, the distances were all riding really short for once with a couple of oxers on flowing lines at the start to really open you up

I always find the distances walk funny at Royal Leisure....don't know why...but they usually seem to ride okay

ooh - well sounds like it was a good day, with just an unlucky pole. Tica will learn one day she doesn't know everything
hoping we'll be fit to jump in Jan @ M Wood - go on a ticket. think its the 20th Jan. She's been an angel so far, probably will turn phsyco again soon.

Well done Faye, sounds like you had a good day and she is still quite young isn't she? Shame about the pole though but thats probably down to inexperience on her part and everything is still new and exciting bless her
