Although a former 'regular' on HHO, many events I could've done without have kept me away from posting, but I would like to say the following:
- My 83 yo mum has recovered from breaking her hip last January 2009
- My 19 going on 20 yo boy ( our ex-adv. eventer and son's first horse) almost died from a horrid and rare disease (guttural pouch mycosis) but has now been officially nicknamed 'The Survivor' after a spectacular recovery from major surgery
- Son (in California) has had his lot of misfortune with his 2 leading horses suffering injuries (not on XC I may add ! ) but has managed to stay put on the U.S. 'Developing Rider Program' and under Cpt M.Phillips' wing
- Work and travels have also kept me very busy and away
- I missed not exchanging posts more often with some of my HHO CR friends (they will recognise themselves

...)
- I miss you all (Wizoz, Rosiefan and Rosie , Lu, Baydale, madhector, KatB, Maloo, Millbrooksong, Weezy, puppy, jules and many others...) and beg you to forgive my 'silence'

- Finally, I'm gutted at having missed the Secret Santa roll call this year but want you to know that you and your beloved equine partners are in my thoughts

I wish you all a wonderful Christmas with your loved ones and hope that the coming year will leave me (and those of you who have had a rough 2009) off the hook with more time on my hands for some HHO fun

so that I can keep up with all of you again !

Best to all
xxxx Flo

Flo, you're forgiven for not posting more often, we always go for quality over quantity in CR.

Wishing you and yours all the best for Christmas and the New Year. Here's to a fantastic 2010, reports aplenty and loads of fun.

Not quite sure the apology for absence was quite grovelling enough but have decided to forgive you

Sorry to hear that both horses in California have been off games but that's our 4 legged friends for you (where's the sighing smiley? Smiley???)
Many thanks for the good wishes, much appreciated, and I wish you and yours all the very best in 2010 too

Also agree with all the above - its good to hear from you and great to hear The Survivor is still living up to his name!

Wishing you health and happiness (of the 2 legged and 4 legged variety!) in 2010.

I've missed you! Glad I read this just before going on a lon boring journey, it's just made me smile!

Haaaaaaappppy Chriiiiiissssssstmas!!! (shouting loudly across the Channel

) Good to hear from you, and that you have survived all the traumas relatively intact - hope 2010 is a quieter, more stress-free one for you

Missed you too Flo

Glad your boys (human and equine) are hanging in there and doing OK.

Any recent pics of Poppy's boyfriend - she ripped her litle claw off yesterday and is feeling a bit sorry for herself. A pic of her husband to be would cheer her up (avatar pic is too small for her to see)

Happy Christmas
