just read your report and can update you on the ground conditions at the jays. (muggins here is ring steward all day tomorrow ) i was there last week to and was surprised at just how much the place had dried out! dont blame anyone for not wanting to jump in the warmup when you were last there with jerry though,it was bloody awful. but for ships benefit they do shift the warmup arena from show to show and the ground does seem to drain very well, mind you it chucked it down last night so what its like tomorrow remains to be seen! they do have a tractor to get you on and off if need be but usually its driver error when people get stuck! good luck for tomorrow ship ,make yourself known to me on the arena gate!
just to add the arena is being done jan/feb time. andrea has big plans for the place and it will be a very nice venue when it all comes together.
 
yeh i will do, andrea is running membership this year, cost a tenner and the perk is that you can email entry up to 7pm (5pm for dressage ) the night before the show and pay on the day. she is also doing a jays masters where anyone can enter qualifiying classes but only members can do the championship..
her plans are to put 2 log cabins in ,one for secretary and one for catering, a proper toilet and to hard stand the lorry park. i also told her to put a bus shelter type thing along one side of the arena for spectators for when its pissing down and she seemed to like that idea!
 
Thanks for this we decided not to go as I had a fall recently so want some low key events and he has only jumped indoors I Plan to enter as soon as the arena is done as I am not far from the Jays but have kept gonign to Norton Heath. I will be joining too as often I dont know if I can do it till the last minute as Hubby works most weekends. He is a transport manager so hopefully we wont get stuck as he often has to go out to his lady that get stuck (my first date sitting on the layby as a lorry was stuck in the field!!!)Please keep me updates as I cant wait to come
