Right well you all know Rocks has allergic airways syndrome and i'm looking for a more long term treatment - maybe in the form of an antihistamine as it only occurs from april through to end of september.
I did a google search and came across a product called "Equiopathics asthma and allergy" which looked promising and have found somewhere that ships to the UK ( i think) but wanted to know if anyone had used it and if it was any good?

Thanks xxx

I have used Equiopathics Nose and Sinus and liked it very much. I had a horse with a runny nose (due to allergies) for which the vet advised using antihistamine. I found Equiopathics was more effective. I don't know if the nose and sinus one is the same as the asthma/allergy. My problems were seasonal as well, we lived in So. Texas and with the fungus spores and humidity even we humans suffered. Since we've moved to No. Texas I notice the horses don't suffer as badly with nasal allergies.

Have you tried feeding him herbs as sold in specialist herbal shops for people? Of course I wouldn't say do it without consulting your vet but I had a horse with severe lung problems due to allergies. He had inhalations with a human inhaler for a while and then was tried on various equine products. Nothing really worked well and we consulted someone specialising in homeopathy for humans (as per vet suggestion). It was over 10 years ago so I don't remember the names of all the herbs (eucalyptus was definitely included).
The sales assistant always looked at me weirdly when I put 50 bags of each herb on her desk

but they were mixed with his food and they worked wonders for him.
