Hello, I read your post on AL "awful dilemma" I am not registered on there and so cannot post so am replying here in the hopes you see it. I was in a similar situation 2 years ago with mine and took the decision to let them go together,they were inseparable. I knew my horses and know I did the right thing ,even though one of them could have gone on longer I decided life without her field mate would have been no fun for her at all. It is difficult ,but only you know your horses well enough to make an informed decision. Take care and dont beat yourself up whatever you decide.
