Ok that is concerning, their face shape and body type is so so similar. thats unreal. the way their blaze falls onto the muzzle is very very similar, and theyre both kind of finer built and as i said their head shape is so so similar, im shocked
I know scary huh, nd the fact we've given them almost the same stable name is really weird, does Marley have a reallyy high head carriage?? nd is he a panicer/stress head?? i would lay money on them being related.
oh my god, yes to both, naturally a neck stiff and head up, and a complete panicker to the extent i am no longer riding him because we think something is severely wrong!
How long have you had him?? When i got Harley he had a bad back, he'd been wearing tack that didnt fit him, he's teeth needed doing and he's shoes where falling off, he has scars on he's face where at some point he's been left in a poorly fitting head collar, nd the bloke i got him from told me he was dangerous, After getting all the physical problems sorted out got him a the lightest saddle i could find and put a happy mouth bit on he's bridle, nd after a very long six months of trying to get him to trust me he began to come around, clearly at some point in his life he'd been well schooled as he started to drop his nose nd do some lovely flat work, 4 1/2 years later jumping however is still another story
but to hack out he is perfect and un-spookable, the only major issue he has now is being led in hand the only way he can be lead is in a bridle or chifney, oh he's also a sod to load
ive had him 7 months and well Marley is a complete and utter nightmare to load, he freezes when he sees a trailer, he had his teeth and back done about a month after me buying him but having his back done seemed to make him worse, his tack was refitted and still no joy with that helping as for bits i put him in the thinnest snaffle i could find as he has a very big tongue and a pony mouth. they sound all too similar apart from the fact Marley is like a beach donkey to lead, but yeah hes not had a easy time of it i dont think. he is also pretty unspookable you just cant ride him and he wont hack out. hes the biggest waste of a horse ever, like Harley he can work in the most beautiful outline and does produce some lovely work. his jump is amazing and i hate how much of a waste he is. but the plan is to give him a year off and reback him next summer maybe
Ah bless him, it might be worth putting him in a happy mouth when u bring him back into work as thin bits apply more presure than a thick one nd although happy mouth's are thin because there not metal there not as harsh, if u fancy trying him in one when the time is right let me know nd you borrow mine, i seem to have more than enough bits wat with Buzz and Harley both being complete twats
lol bless them, thankyou so much for that offer, youre not that far from me either, we'll have to arrange to see the brothers lol (they are brothers ive decided twins i think
