MM, I knew I could remember that kennel name - here is an ad from the 1990 German Shepherd Dog League of GB handbook:

The bitch on the right, while she has the Bedwin prefix, is also out of Merry, so a half sister to your bitch's dad.

The owner of the kennel is a Mrs Miles (!), of Rhiwfawr.
