Are you bursting with anticipation yet? More to the point, is Cloud bursting with milk and unborn foalie?

I can't tell you how excited I am. 11 days to go!!!!! I've been looking forward to seeing pictures of little Cloud's foal since the day she was covered!

I'm not normally known for my patience, I'll have you know. I will have a major sulk on if she goes way overdue!

LOL!! I'm allowing myself to get a little excited now!!

Time really is flying along and there's not much longer to have to wait. Cloud is still looking terrific, however she has a large tum now, muscles are relaxing and her sacs are filling nicely.

I can't stop watching her, LOL!! I am so pleased I decided to move her to the paddock at the front of the house as I can watch her all the time! The lights in her shelter will be on from tonight onwards and then I can check her from the comfort of my duvet

.

Camera and Camcorder are both fully charged and ready in waiting.

Ahh Claire - the milk test. Yes I have it...however I didn't go for one of those ready made ones in the end. I am using a pool testing kit

. Quarter of the price LOL!! Distilled water, litmus papers...total cost under $20. Sounded like a bargain to me....AND it's what the "real" breeders suggested to use.

11 Days!!!!!!!!!!! OOOOooooohhhh!! Can you tell I'm a little excited???

Ooooooo......how incredibly exciting!!!

Isn't it funny how it seemed such a long way off and then suddenly here she is almost due to foal! Time really is flying.

How's the name picking coming along? I still think something weather related is a necessity. Storm, Sonnie/sunny, Lightning, Flash (as in lightning flash), Spring (as it is spring of course), blah blah

We could have one.....with hubby being the man he is.....however I'm not so sure, LOL!!

I do hope we manage to video the birth though; but I have this gut feeling that she will just do it and we will miss it completely.

I have tried to keep it out of my mind. The others who had foals on here really helped though as I have been so excited for them that it has been quite easy to not get excited about Cloud and of course it's their day when their mares foal. However she must be close to being the next HHO mare in line so I can indulge a bit.

Names; well I still haven't come up with anything.....Megan keeps spewing out "fabulous" names
crazy.gif
. Trouble is, it will be her foal so really I should allow her to name it.......that's probably the scariest part of Cloud foaling, LOL!!

Ooooo I love Cirrus.

Duncan knows all the names of the clouds, being into weather and astronomy. I only remember a few....namely cummulus and cirrus

Me too, LOL!!

She is changing daily now - I can't believe just HOW round she is....even compared to just last week, she looks so much bigger. You know how chilled she is though - she's just taking it all in her stride. Nothing is bothering her one iota, bless her.

Me too Weezy, its silly isnt it but Cloud is such a special little girl and any baby of hers will be very precious indeed.

Actually I really like the name Cirrus too. Maybe I could repeat it 100 times when Megan is sleeping? Subliminal messages are supposed to work eh?

It really is a funny thing though isn't it, with foaling mares. Although I am sooo excited....there is always that trepidation lurking in the background. All I can hope for is a nice birthing for her and that she doesn't have any complications. Cloud is my primary concern here....although obviously it will be lovely to finally meet the foal.

She has changed over just the last few days mentally - she is spending sooo much time over by Ezzy right now. They are in adjoining fields and most of the time they are seen cuddling over the gate. It really is beautiful to watch.

Dipsy, LOL!! Yes thankfully those great names are out of the window.....I had to tolerate Tia Ribbon don't forget
grin.gif
. Actually funny thing is, I adore Tia Ribbon's name now.

I ahd a look at the long range forecast today - certainly in Toronto it is talking about snow on Cloud's due date - best get the woolies ready!

I can send you the fact-sheet telling you what to look for if you like? Seems quite easy actually.

Thunder, Sky, Lightening......you know all those really cool names that you really really want your horse to be called!

Aww bless him. When the foal comes; I will dedicate the first photo to him.

(If I remember in all the excitement

Sunshine and 3 degrees up here on the 7th......hoping it won't change. It won't matter too much though as at least it won't be cold.

To be honest Patches; I'm really not too bothered. It's her foal so she can name it if she wants. LOL!! I am just remembering you have Tweenie!!!
grin.gif
So you understand where I am coming from LOL!!

Thank you everyone for helping with the excitement and allowing me to blurt everything I am thinking of on here. You're a lovely bunch of people.
smile.gif

Claire; I have PM'ed the instructions to you. Let me know if you don't get them as I didn't copy and paste your username, so it may not end up with you LOL!!

Yup I have Tweenie. It could've been worse, she could have been Dipsy or Barbie!
grin.gif

Actually, the children renamed her at the riding school she was at. Her original name was Honey. Honey conjures up an image of a sweet little palamino to me. Tweenie is an utter babe on the road, but she's no-one's "honey".

I keep seeing your ticker and get more excited by the day. I'm praying for a straightforward foaling for her. Fingers crossed and positive vibes for Cloudy!

Yeh, it's the cold that is a pain! Supposed to be +20 here to day, according to the radio and lovely thurs and fri - then I will be very cold, as Quebec city is still in winter!!!!
