"Farewell" photo shoot.

I have to be honest, I find the whole notion of keeping ashes after cremation really bizarre - but each to their own.
I used to feel this way about ashes to. Until I lost my baby. A burial didn't feel right incase we ever moved from the area, scattering her doesn't feel right either so shes here at home untill my time comes and then she will be scattered with me. I suppose our own experiences shape us & our choices.

As it stands I definitely would not want a photo of a deceased pet

A friend of mine wanted to take me to see someone she knew who lived in the village, I just didn't have the time. That's when she told me she was in the church yard.

Definitely not my cup of tea but I've seen on social media a while back someone had posted photos and videos of their deceased horse laid out on table with flowers and candles around it.

A friend also has a pelt from a horse she lost many years ago draped casually on the back of her couch. O_o

I have lost two horses and both times I've only kept some of their mane and tail as keepsake. Thought of taking a photo after they passed has never occurred to me.

Not my cup of tea at all, I prefer to look at happy photos of my lost ones. I have kept my old dogs ashes which will be scattered with mine when I’m no longer here. My deceased horses ashes were buried at my old yard felt right they were there with their equine friends. A previous colleague I used to work with spent a fortune on taxidermy for her deceased tortoise who is now on display in her living room again definitely not my thing !
