Wednesday is going to be a sad day for us as Rafi is going to a new owner. We have owned him since a yearling when we bought him from CVS stud. He has always been a super star. Since the age of 4 [just before his 5th birthday] he has been to every BD winter champ and last year did 5 classes[2 Spillers, 1 music, 1 national and a petplan] He has done 1 BD summer national and 2 Home Internationals.
He is a real trier and never let us down. Today he did the Medium Petplan and came 8th, he did a lovely test and really enjoyed the prize giving.
His new owner is going to down grade him and I think they will have lots of fun with him, we couldn't have found a better home.
A sad goodbye but it will give Claire more time for her young horse who will have to be good to replace Rafi.

Feel awful as just realised I had forgot to mention the lovely photographer who was at Burrow Court and does these lovely photos. Thanks to Pete Thorn Photography who do an amazing job.

Whilst a sad day she should be very proud of how beautifully she has produced him and all that they have achieved together. I hope the youngster is suitably aware of what shoes she has to fill!

Thank you very much , yes she knows she has to be VERY good and we had her backed so that Claire could see if she enjoys riding her [ which she does] before selling Rafi.
The new owner said 'I have found the perfect horse and will treat him like a prince' What more can we ask

I'm so pleased you've found Rafi what sounds like a perfect home. It'll be a sad day, but you've both got a lot to look forward to with your lovely youngster!

I'll miss seeing Rafi out and about, I've got a lovely pic of C and I at the RC champs together in the prize giving :)

Good luck on Wednesday.

I hope you will write more reports with photos I always enjoyed them. I always like it went ordinary people work incredibly hard and get good results on ordinary horses. Sometimes its too easy to get caught up in the money that can go round in horse sports and think you will never achieve because of not having the financial backing.

Pleased to hear you've found him a nice home and good lluck to him and you with your youngster. Have to say that thread title had me a wee bit worried until I remembered that he was for sale!

Sorry to worry you Gamebird .
Took him to his beautiful new home today, they had lovely stables ,a gorgeous girl friend for him and fields and manage to die for.
They will love him to bits , Claire tried to be so brave but had a real tough time, I know how she feels I had to do the same with my 'Laddie' and never got over it.
