I am so glad this disgusting excuse for a human being has been given a custodial sentence but just wish it were 18 years rather than 18 weeks! He has also been banned from keeping dogs and sheep for life ... perhaps that should have been extended to include all animals!

There is a photo of the dead dog in the article so if you are sensitive perhaps it would be wiser not to look.

I know! I absolutely wouldn't be able to help but get involved if I saw something like this happening. It is also quite ironic that had he taken his gun and shot the dog he wouldn't have faced any charges (which is also wrong imo).

I wondered why only dogs and sheep, presumably that would hit him hardest/they think that is what he is most likely to have but it doesn't sound like he should be owning anything else either.
