Farrier and Vet recommendations pls : Ox / Bucks borders.

Hi there,

Having just moved my boy and his new pal ...
(thank you to all those offering me horses or places to look - found a yearling section A in the end)
... to a field in Oakley near Thame on the Oxfordshire / Buckinghamshire border I am now looking for a farrier and a vet.

My boy is a bit funny wih men and not too keen with the farrier, although all he does is fidget, so I need someone quite sympathetic.

Any recommendations greatly received.

Vets = Baskerville Horgan in Aylesbury cover that area and I can highly recommend then. Tel: Aylesbury (01296) 432633.

As for a farrier, sorry I can't help, because my farrier definitely doesn't go that far.

Graham Finnis (Pud) is a superb farrier from Aylesbury

Def baskervilles, always been great with my horses. I use simon creedy for farrier, wellshod.co.uk. Not sure if he goes Thame way tho.

Yepp Baskervilles are fantastic and i used Simon Creedy last year and he is 5 star,one of the best farriers i have ever had !!!!

We use Wendover Heights for vets as have found them to be the best. Used to have Baskerville's but not any more - wont go into details!

Our Farrier is wonderful but not taking on any new clients as too busy. Have heard good things about Kevin Rooney though - would be worth a call.
