I had the farrier come out to sort the shetland's feet out, thankfully she does not have any signs on lami but she has had it a while back, but nothing fresh. She does have quite a bit of bruising. She apparently has very good feet, which was good to hear! The farrier really took a shine to her, she behaved really well for the first two feet but then got very bored and woudln't stand still for him, ended up rearing a few times but the fact she is only something like 6hh, didn't have much of an impact bless her.
Told him the land owners got a different farrier out to them about 6 weeks ago and he just laughed at me, saying it looks like they have been left a lot longer, or the farrier didn't take much off. Told him who the land owner had out and he agreed that it was because the farrier didn't take much off C's feet (apparently not the most recommendable farrier - which I agree with because when I had him out for my lad I told him I will not require any more service from him in the furture when he asked me to make another appointment in 8 weeks time.)
Quite a lot of hoof was taken off so she may be stiff for a few days, whilst adjusting to having no hoof in comparison to what they were like before.
Just thought I would post to let anyone who was interested know she doesn't have lami which I was very worried about.
