I changed farrier about a year ago. He charges £20 for trims £60 for shoe all round. But he did my 3 trims every 8 weeks through the winter IN THE FIELD whatever the weather. Other farriers round here will not do them in the field unless ground is dry (not much of that this winter). He is also very patient with my youngster, so that now at 2 yrs she is really good. My old arthritic boy is much sounder now that the trims are frequent.
I think mine is £20 - not had a trim for a while (shoes instead) although I would question the need to have them done every 7 - 8 weeks more than the price?
