Farrier costs in Hampshire (Alton area)

I think its about £75 but mine are all barefoot so cant be 100% sure. However, my Percheron mare, if she needed shoes would be around £170 !!!
 
I have also used one that charged £40...needless to say I swapped to the one I have now as the previous one caused probs with my horses feet, and also my friends gelding..so you do get what you pay for.
 
Goodness it is expensive in your area. I live in the IOM and my farrier charges £58 for a full set. Recently increased from £55 but it was his first increase in 3 years so i can forgive him :-). He is fab and a bargain compared to the Hampshire area. I certainly cant grumble.
 
Am sure my farrier was telling me he does a lot of work Petersfield area as well as round me, so would probably do Alton too as I think he lives not too far from here (tend to get offered first thing or last thing appointments). He's very reasonable and prompt - £30 for two trims, and I'm sure when I asked a price on shoes it was about £60. PM me if you'd like a number
