It's been 7 weeks since my horse was last shod but his feet had barely grown so the farrier didn't take much off.
Anyway, in the last 2 weeks I've noticed his front left looks horribly long. I've mentioned this to YO and asked her to arrange farrier and she said 'no, they're fine, he's got such bad feet anyway. It'll be pointless the farrier coming out now, you'll be paying for him to pull them off and put them back on again, give it a while longer'.
Personally - I want to get the farrier out immediately but obviously don't want to waste money where it isn't necessary.
So, does this look like it needs to be trimmed? - Sorry the photo isn't better.
