Hi, I've been let down again by my farrier and I need one urgently.. thanks to current farrier horses have been left 10weeks without feet being done.. please do not have a go at me re this.. I am fumming! all because farrier wont turn up.! said farrier will now not answer his phone or my text or voice mails!!! my horses are both good to shoe, anyway I have tried so far..

bloke called Simon- he has no room
bloke called mike - he didnt turn up and would not book me in advance.. something to do with him sponoring our yard. .. so urgent help please.. I am at my witts end.. and so stressed because of this

I think you should get your vet involved. My mum had a lamentic ( sp ) pony and the vet requested the farrier did something to the feet. Anyway the farrier wouldn't come out so mum in desperation told the vet who in turn rang the farrier. The farrier came straight out. Its a medical need to have feet attended to and i'm sure the vet would have threatened to report him.
 
If there's nothing wrong with the horses other than that they need re-shoeing I wouldn't get the vet involved. It's wasting their time & won't go down well with the farrier.

There's a farier called Robert Pears (Peers) in your area who may be able to help.
